June 2016 Lincoln Atheists Newsletter View this email in your browser July 9th The community service committee has set up another Habitat for Humanity build on July 9 here in Lincoln. We will be working from 8:30 – 3:00 pm at 7224 Morrill Ave. No experience necessary. If you are interested please: Read, complete, and sign a liability waiver Adult Waiver of Liability Minor Waiver of Liability Watch a safety video, take a short quiz, and submit your completion. Access Code: W8NAEBTG Course Name:"Volunteering on a Habitat for Humanity Job Site" We had a great time last year in Grand Island and we hope to have an even better one this year in Lincoln! Also, lunch will be provided. Billboard LA is funding a billboard to be displayed in Lincoln to promote awareness of our group and show that The Good Life can be good without god. We are currently working through 3 design concepts and will be emailing members for their opinions. The current plan is to fund the billboard for 1 month to gauge public interest/effectiveness and hopefully bring new members to LA. We need volunteers to help run the Lincoln Atheists booth at this year's Star City Pride Festival, on July 8th and 9th. Each shift is 2 hours long with 2 people needed per shift, from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Friday, July 8th and 1:00 -8:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 9th.  You will be handing out educational and marketing materials, and answering questions about Lincoln Atheists, and atheism in general. We just need you and your smile. We could also use a person or two to assist with set-up on Friday around 3:00pm and on Saturday around 12:00pm. Let me know if you have any questions.
